About the author

Lee Wallach is a chef, entrepreneur and owner of Home Appétit, an East Coast meal delivery service. His love of cooking and earliest memories come from his mother, a Tel Aviv native who came to America when she was 18. Growing up, he took many trips to TLV to visit family and friends, and now enjoys taking his own kids there often. His favorite thing about visiting Israel is how it's always changing—on every trip he uncovers new places to try, new neighborhoods to explore, new food to eat, new experiences to surprise him.

FAQs

Is this just recommendations of places to eat?

Not in the least. Food is an important part of any visit to Tel Aviv, but the city is more than just hummus. I've included great neighborhoods to visit, day trips, parks, hotels and enough to round out your entire trip.
